Martyrs’ Day

Jiching Tang

It’s hard not to moved by the raw emotions on Martyr’s day; from the taxi driver who belted out songs the General on the journey there, to the thronging public who braved the queues and pelting rain, to the school children who came with fire in their voices and fight in their eyes. General Aung San’s story is one both without an end and without end, forever immortalized in a hypothetical.
